Currently, I am on android 8.0 on my Galaxy S8+ and I'm trying to downgrade to Google Play Services 12.6.85, just for some reason I'm having troubles. Then, I know the steps to actually disable the google play service, uninstall updates, download the older update and just install. The problem is, every time when I get to download the version I want (12.6.85) it just says "App Not Installed"

At this point, I've literally tried everything and even so no luck unfortunately. When I remove all updates from the current Google Play Services, it drops downwards to version 13.x.xx and I'm not certain why this is happening. All I can actually call back of is that they patched the downgrading method and this no longer works, or something is wrong. Yes, I've double checked I'm installing the correct version of the Google Play Service update to my phone, and nothing seems to work.

As well, I've done this downgrade method many times in the by, and so this isn't my beginning fourth dimension doing this downgrade method. At present that the downgrading method doesn't work, I'm hoping someone can maybe post a work around of some sort so I can actually downgrade my Google Play Services to an older update.

If you have whatever information on this or if yous have a work around, delight don't hesitate to reply, I'd love to hear your feedback!

Thanks :)

Perhaps it has to do will another Google organization apk needing to be brought back to the original factory load version also. Some other loaded system app is incompatible with the older GPS... merely a judge.

Sounds like a firmware update changed your playing field. If and then it may be a real mess to endeavor to right.
Rule#1- never update a fast, stable Os if it's fulfilling its mission.

Wow. That was a quick response.

Whatsoever aid would be really appreciated.
I'k not a programmer or anything like that, and I don't know anything about phones.

I have a Samsung 8+.
I uninstalled Google Play services to manufactory settings which is "17.four.55".
I've downloaded the "12.6.85" version for my device, just when I try to install it tells me "App non installed".

P.s. (idk what this whole rooted/unrooted business is, but whatever the device default is, is what I got.) I don't accept a pc to practise all this stuff to root/unroot my device.

Any thoughts?

Normally going to Playstore is how y'all update this bothersome app. It doesn't do a whole lot but yous need it for Gmail, Playstore and some 3rd apps. I run with it disabled most of the time.

Simply someone merely sent me a message saying:
"You lot can't install an older version of the Google Play Services on peak of a newer, default version."

If this is the example, is in that location no hope to downgrade the Google Play service on my device?

Long story curt, the game requires traveling around to play, merely I'm in an area where I can't travel. This joystick app would assist me travel in the game without traveling from home.
Anyway, I've read that many people do it hands with a rooted phone, just seems like a more difficult feat than I tin achieve.
