What's Available in Minnesota

For those who are looking for Minnesota health care programs, there are two available. The first one is entitled Medical Assistance (MA) and the second is MinnesotaCare. Within 45 days, the agency will let the applicant know if they meet the eligibility requirements. It takes fifteen days to receive a response for pregnant women and sixty days for those who need disability certification. Decisions that are not made within that timeframe will receive letters from the agency explaining why.

If Residents Meet Eligibility Requirements

Those who meet eligibility requirements will have enrollment in the MA program. At that point, the financial worker may ask for items including checking or savings account statements, proof of assets, proof of income, and proof of unearned income. It's possible to receive total health care insurance under MA, as well as health care security.

Those who need child health care plans or personal health care plans can apply for eligibility under the MinnesotaCare or Medical Assistance program.
